 What's the point of IBDC?:

The point to IBDC is to provide a community setting for those interested in Barbie. It offers a place to get in contact with great people who share the same love for Barbie. In addition it offers a place to participate in fun activities such as swaps and contest. It is also a great place to get information and ask questions. IBDC offers those of us who do not have a local doll club, a chance to participate in a Barbie club.

We ask for you first name and/or username, age and/or  birth date because 1. We need the age verification. 2. We have membership check-ins every so often, where we will be sending you a private email re-confirming your information and ask if you'd like to remain a member.

Will there be a lot of Email?:

Well, that depends! You have a choice in how you want your email to flow. When you subscribe to IBDollClub's News email list, it will allow you to get frequent updates about the club.

Many members have complained about getting to much email, so that is why we have separate groups within IBDC. It's a requirement to be a member of IBDCNews if you are a member of IBDC.

You can change your IBDCNews membership settings by logging into your Yahoogroups account -- http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups. Click on Membership Settings and follow the directions from there.

Please note, that we recommend Daily Digest  in IBDCNews. As we do sometimes send out a few emails during the week. But you can choose individual email or Special Notice. However we don't recommend No Mail. As we feel that if you choose to be an IBDC member. You need to know what is going on within the club.

The other club groups and "Classes" are optional. And you may choose to use the No mail option on those.
